Research has shown that early intervention is the key to engaging autistic children with the world and with other people, to fully develop their capabilities. We understand the importance of children getting this treatment at the earliest possible age.
Class size is limited to four children with a teacher and an assistant. Children in the early intervention class learn to work in small groups and follow simple instructions. Although the pre-academic skills important for transition into the next level are introduced, the focus is language, interaction, imitation and self-help skills.
Book Fairs - The parent organization holds a book fair in the fall and in the spring where students and teachers have the opportunity to stock up on their favorite books.
New Surroundings - Children on the Autism Spectrum are often uncomfortable in new environments. Westview students
