Autistic children often have gross motor difficulties, fine motor difficulties or both. Activities are built into the daily classroom schedule to strengthen both gross and fine motor skills. The children have routinely scheduled motor classes, in addition to their regular classroom activities. Occupational therapists are also on staff to offer individual therapy and consult with the teachers in the classroom setting. Classroom modifications assist students in developing motor skills.
Family Fun Day - Families come together for a fun-filled day of games, rides, food and friendship. Activities are planned for all age groups including bean-bag toss, cake walk, horseback riding, dunking booth, bingo, moon walk and lots of outdoor activities.
